North Hills has a rich history, with the original North Hills Mall opening in 1960 and being converted into an enclosed mall in 1967. Did you know it was the first enclosed mall in Raleigh and the first two-story, air-conditioned indoor mall between Washington, D.C. and Atlanta? In 1999, Kane Realty began purchasing land in the area, completely transforming it into the commercial destination it is today. We’ve been watching the construction happen on Lassiter Mill near Target and can’t wait to see the finished product!
