Hi! I’m Jeremy

I was born and raised in Philadelphia, but I’ve been a proud NC resident since 2018. I went to college at the University of Arizona, so I’ve spent time living in the Northeast, Southwest, and the South. These diverse experiences give me deep appreciation for all that the Triangle area offers - I'm never surprised to see our area on "top places to live" lists!

I have a master’s degree from Drexel University in Public Policy with a focus on Sustainable Urban Development. I love witnessing the balance our community is striking between encouraging sustainable growth and intentionally maintaining the character and history of our area.  At Kaplan & Co., I'm the real estate expert. I'm one of those crazy people who loves what they do so much that it doesn't feel like work. I genuinely love all aspects of working in real estate and the opportunity it gives me to work with all types of people.

My passion for real estate has grown steadily throughout my life. As a child, I saw my grandfather purchasing and managing homes in Philadelphia. Then my dad took on the role as a full-time real estate investor in single family homes in the city. I saw the hard work that goes into buying and maintaining homes and developed a deep appreciation for the business of real estate. I see the value houses provide as not only places to build our lives, but a way to build generational wealth. It gives me such pride to guide others through these transformative transactions.

Hi! I’m Emily

I’m a North Carolina native. I grew up in Raleigh and went to UNC Chapel Hill for Undergrad. I moved to Philadelphia for graduate school at the University of Pennsylvania, but lasted a little less than a decade before I wanted to return to my roots in NC.

 I have a background in special events, higher education, and human resources, and have worked in both the non-profit and for-profit spaces. At Kaplan & Co., I wear many hats behind the scenes. From operations to marketing to client relations, I want to make sure things are running smoothly and you're getting the best possible experience working with us.

My passion for real estate is multifaceted. At a young age, one of my very favorite weekend activities was visiting Open Houses with my mom. We loved to tour the homes, evaluating the layout and features -- what we liked and what we would have done differently. We would explore all over the Triangle to find new houses to check out. I still love touring houses, but what I love even more is seeing our clients find their dream house and ultimately make it a home. Buying and selling real estate is more than just a big financial transaction, its often a big emotional transaction, and I know how important that side of this work is.

A little more about us…

We live in the North Hills neighborhood of Raleigh with our two precocious daughters, Charlotte & Madison, and our equally rambunctious Pomeranian-Poodle, Lily.

We love exploring all that our state has to offer from the mountains to the coast, but especially the treasures of the Triangle area. On the weekend you can catch us taking a hike or enjoying a festival, visiting a local brewery or cooling off at the pool in the summer.

We love getting involved in our community and are always looking for ways to give back and positively impact others. We can't wait to meet you and learn what makes you tick!
