Triangle Holiday Happenings 2023

WOW - the holidays are certainly already in full swing here in the Triangle! It seems like everywhere you look there is some fun Holiday Happening. We’ve already gotten a few things checked off our list (including Sippin’ Santa at Wye Hill and Jewish Heritage night with the Hurricanes) but there is still so much to do between now and the end of the year… here are some of our top recommendations!

Who doesn’t love a holiday cocktail?

Our new favorite: Sippin’ Santa at Wye Hill
So fun and delicious with it’s tropical vibes. BONUS: Their fabulous NYE bash. We went last year and are making plans to return this year!

Our standby: Miracle at The Haymaker
We’ve been a few times and it never disappoints. Our favorite visit was certainly when we did karaoke with Charlotte as a baby - ha!

Hoping to visit this year: St. Nick’s
Certainly instagram worthy…a full immersive holiday experience! Grab your tickets here. Let us know if you want to join us for a visit

Which is your favorite holiday show?

Carolina Ballet: The Nutcracker
We are proud supporters of Carolina Ballet. Charlotte was able to attend last year and we are thrilled to be able to take the whole family this year!

North Carolina Symphony: Holiday Pops & A Candlelight Christmas
We love the Symphony, but admittedly don’t get to see them as much as we’d like. Click the link to check out all of their offerings around the area thru the end of the year.

Theatre in the Park: A Christmas Carol
This is a classic for the Triangle, featuring Ira David Wood (the III or the IV depending on which performance). If you’ve never been, it’s worth adding to your list!

Wait…the kids are out of school for how many days??

If the walls of your house are starting to feel like they are closing in on you - well it could be time for us to help you move OR - you’ve been at home with your kids too long!

Fenton: Skate the Square
Knock out some shopping & skating all in one go!

Downtown Raleigh: Illuminate Art Walk
Head to DTR to explore this FREE self-guided art show featuring local artists. Don’t forget you can Sip n’ Stroll thru downtown with participating restaurants/bars.

Koko Booth Amphitheatre: Chinese Lantern Festival
Making its 8th appearance in the Triangle - this visual attraction is great for kids & adults alike.

Durham Bulls Athletic Park: Wool E’s Winter Wonderland
A HUGE sledding hill, igloos in the infield, train rides, and MORE - what’s not to love? Definitely hoping to check this one out with the girls this year.

And of course don’t forget…

We will have a booth at Clouds Brewing Taproom:

  • Saturday December 9th from 3-7PM for the Holiday Beer Fest

Featuring 25+ NC Holiday beers/ciders/sours. You can buy tickets and see more info at the link above!

  • Sunday December 10th from 2-7PM for the Holiday Market

Featuring Vendors, an Orchestra, and food trucks. Our Kaplan & Co. table will also be an official drop off location for Carolina Cares! You can see their wish list here.
